Lafayette (10-6) vs. Bryan Station (6-5) January 18, 2001
Lafayette coach Don Adkins started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Dudley Hall, 6-3 Sr. Robert Madison, 6-7 Sr. Vernard Hazard, 5-9 Sr. James Gentry, and 6-0 Sr. Quinton Roberts. Bryan Station coach Bobby Washington countered with 6-4 Sr. Chad Miles, 6-6 Sr. Terren Harbut, 6-0 Sr. Brian Carpenter, 5-8 Sr. Scott Ferguson, and 5-6 So. Max Morones.
Bryan Station star Terren Harbut was held to 11 points but Waltclaire Flynn and Brian Carpenter responded with big games to down a cold shooting Lafayette squad by a score of 57-54. Bryan Station led 43-34 at the end of three quarters but Lafayette pulled to within 1, 55-54 with 10 seconds remaining on the clock. Max Morones then was able to break free for a layup to seal the victory.
6-4 Sr. Waltclaire Flynn came off the bench to lead Bryan Station
with 20 points and 16 rebounds. James Gentry and Robert Madison
led Lafayette with 15 and 13 points respectively.
