Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Clay List, 6-2 Sr. Rod Dunham, 5-8 Sr. Kyle Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Chris Jones, and 5-5 So. Lamont Campbell. Paul Dunbar coach Eddie Oakley countered with 6-0 So. Mike Matthews, 6-2 Jr. Allen Penn, 6-6 Jr. Kenneth Fox, 6-0 So. Marcus Conner, and 5-9 So. Jamie Adams.
Dunbar utilized the inside strength of Kenneth Fox and 6-3 Sr.
David
Byars to subdue Henry Clay by a score of 58-47. Fox had
23 points and 8 rebounds, and Byars added 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Henry Clay was led by Rod Dunham with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Clay List added 12 points. Coach Oakley has brought his three
seniors, 6-3 Clay Tate, 6-3 David Byars, and 6-4 Rod Lyvers,
off the bench the last three games and the team has responded with wins
over Lafayette, Scott High, and now Henry Clay.
