Lexington Catholic pulled away from a 42-33 halftime lead to defeat
Bourbon County by a score of 91-62. Bourbon County committed 27 turnovers
and was held to 36.7% shooting from the field. Catholic was led tonight
by Ryan Morton with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Brendon Woody
added 16 points and 6 rebounds. Jack Heissenbuttel contributed
13 points and 7 rebounds. Brian Smith had a very good evening
with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and only 3 turnovers. Bourbon
County was led by Preston LeMaster with 35 points and 10 rebounds.
LeMaster was only 9 of 25 from the field but converted 15 of 16
from the free throw line. LeMaster appears to have a good
understanding of the game and when his outside shot is not falling he will
take the ball to the hoop. Catholic's superior depth appeared to
wear Bourbon County down and Ryan Morton was a force
inside the paint.
